I grew up with an interest in horse riding. As a native Kentuckian I have always been in the right place for this passion. Eventually my equine journey led to a form of riding that studies not only the rider’s form, but the individual muscles used to achieve correct form. This sparked a fascination in me with efficient movement in all aspects of life.

Riding was a helpful mirror for me to see what I needed to work on in myself. Horses will often move in a way that compensates for the patterns of their riders. Essentially, they will tell on you if you have patterns that throw them out of efficient movement. In everyday life we do not usually have someone to tell us if we are stuck a certain way. Instead, we get an ache, a pain, or some other indication that we may ignore. Through massage we can work on these patterns, treat the underlying causes of aches and pains, and move efficiently throughout our daily lives.

I come to massage therapy after a background in gymnastics and competitive sports left my hypermobile body in pain and dysfunction. Through various rehabilitive therapies, I found a passion for learning the healing arts and helping others find ease in their bodies.

I have a special interest in hypermobile disorders and love working with athletes, in post-op recovery, and injury rehabilitation. I'm an anatomy nerd and love to bring balance to complex body structures.

Trudy began her yoga journey as a way to find relief from stress. After the loss of her brother, yoga became a source of deep healing, helping her process grief and reconnect with herself. Today, she returns to her mat as a practice of self-connection, emotional awareness, and mental well-being.

She teaches slow flow and restorative classes that encourage students to meet themselves exactly where they are, moving with compassion and presence.

Trudy earned her RYT-200 from Asheville Yoga Center and has trained with Erin Kelly, Stephanie Ball-Mitchelle, and Laura Burkhart. Her intention is to create a welcoming space for students to explore mindful movement, rest deeply, and connect with both body and heart.

My passion is healing and the healing arts. I come from the full understanding that healing comes from within and we are all our own healers. I am here to help facilitate that process with love, compassion, empathy and gentle guidance and support. 

Through my 29 year career as an occupational therapist and my own healing journey, working with the fascial system and energy body have become my areas of focus and expertise. I am honored and humbled to have had the privilege of being witness to the transformation some have made, when adding these modalities to their healing journey. 

My training for myo-fascial release has been completed under the John Barnes Method.  I also hold a certification in spiritual energy healing from The School of Esoteric Healing in Winston-Salem NC. I would love to assist you in your healing via working through your fascial system of subtle energy body or both!
